Adrian Ortega Named New Basketball Coach at Atrisco

Adrian Ortega, former Onate head boy’s basketball coach has been tabbed as Atrisco High School’s new head coach, “Atrisco is a new school and it has given me the opportunity to build a new tradition,” said Ortega. Ortega guided the Knights to an 18-12 season last year and a trip to the state playoffs, where they upset Valley in the opening round. Before coming to Atrisco, Albuquerque’s newest high school, Ortega was also the head coach at Sandia, where in his four years he compiled a 67-46 record, with three state tournament appearances.
