Aggie Baseball On Television
by NMSU Athletics
LAS CRUCES, N.M.-With the success of Aggie Vision during the 2007 football and volleyball seasons, New Mexico State University will continue to bring Aggie Athletics to Aggie fans around the state and region by producing games for the 2008 NMSU baseball season beginning March 30th, as the Aggies take on Texas-Pan American at Presley Askew Field starting at 1:05 p.m.
Aggie Vision, which is produced by the University’s mobile production unit, will televise these events on Comcast Entertainment Television (Las Cruces Channel 4), as well as several other entities
“This is a great opportunity for our program, our players and our community,” head coach Rocky Ward said. “This shows that the people around the campus and the community are in support of NMSU athletics.”
Comcast affiliates in Las Cruces (Ch. 4), Albuquerque (Ch. 53), Gallup (Ch. 66), and Santa Fe (Ch. 21) and Time Warner in El Paso (Ch. 24) will carry each of these events, while Altitude Sports and Entertainment and FSN-Arizona will carry selected events. In most cases, these games will be carried live, excluding Las Cruces, where games will be tape delayed.
“This is a huge community effort, and Comcast Entertainment Television is proud to be a part of this unique event,” John Christopher, VP/GM Comcast Cable Southern New Mexico said.
“Aggie Vision and our partnership with Comcast Cable and our other affiliates is a key component to our plan to reach and scope of NMSU athletics,” said athletics director Dr. Dr. McKinely Boston. “Not only will Aggie Vision bring our events to more of our fans and alumni, but it will help our coaches in recruiting and increase the value of our brand to our current and future corporate partners.”
Aggie Vision will produce and distribute six baseball games this season. For more information about Aggie Vision, log onto www.nmstatesports.com.
