Alamogordo Athletes Headed to Austrailia

Alamogordo: Seven Otero County residents six athletes and one coach will get the experience of a lifetime after accepting the opportunity to play in the Down Under International Games in Australia over a three-week period.
The Down Under Games, now in its 20th year, is sponsored by International Sports Specialists Inc. and includes competition in volleyball, golf, cross-country, track and field, freestyle wrestling and swimming. This summer, Alamogordoans Nick Bright, Ashley Godfrey, Ashley Jelly, Sammy Luna and Megan Scee, Cloudcroft head coach Matt Shaw and his son A.J. Shaw will participate in the competitions.
The trip includes an excursion to Hawaii, before heading to Australia.
