by NMOTSC/ Abq Journal

The Albuquerque Journal NORTH is reporting that St. Michael’s High School has not rehired baseball coach Kenny Duran.  According to athletic director Tom Manning, the school is just going in a different direction and he felt Duran did an great job in his three years as head coach of the Horsemen.  Duran  won 67 games in his tenure, including a 20-9 season this past season.  A replacement for Duran will be announced later.

In Taos, head football coach Rex Stevenson has resigned citing reasons of reduction in his coaching stipend. Stevenson is the third head coach in as many years to not return for the following season.  This also according to the Journal NORTH.
