ENMU Men's 4x100 Relay Team Qualifies for NCAA Championships at Abilene Twilight Open

Josh Browning (Fr., Alamogordo, N.M./Alamogordo HS), JT Thompson (So., Sweetwater, Texas/Sweetwater HS), Brian Smith (Fr., Midland, Texas/Midland Lee HS) and Tim Hamett (Jr., Midland, Texas/Midland Lee HS) from the Eastern New Mexico University men's track and field team turned in a strong performance at the Abilene Twilight Open, earning provisional qualification in the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.32.Kyle Harris (Sr., Altamonte Springs, Fla./NMMI/Lyman HS), Deidra Brown (So., Bloomfield, N.M./Bloomfield HS) and Steven Aragon (So., Los Lunas, N.M./Los Lunas HS) who already had earned provisional qualification. Aragon and Brown have qualified in the javelin, while Harris has qualified in the triple jump.Zach Gerleve became the first ENMU competitors to reach the NCAA Championship meet. Eastern’s seven provisional qualifiers will await the NCAA's selection of participants for the championships, which will open on May 22, in Walnut, Calif.
