In the Class 2A Semi-Finals, Texico will meet the winner between Lordsburg and Santa Rosa next week for the 2A Championship. The Wolverines beat the Dexter Demons

In Class 3A Quarter-Final play, St. Mikes overcame a 15-14 halftime deficit to beat Bloomfield 23-15 by scoring nine fourth quarter points Friday night in Bloomfield.  

The Horsemen took an early first period lead, only to see the Bobcats score tow late touchdowns by Marcus Morin and Lalo Chavez.

St. Mikes took the lead for good in the fourth period on a 21-yard field goal off the foot of John Driscoll. They added a final score on Mark Manning touchdown pass.

St. Mikes will play the winner between Academy and Lovington next week.

In Class 4A Quarter-Finals, Goddard lead Capital by one at intermission, 7-6, before scoring a pair of second half touchdowns for a 21-6 win, on a frozen field in the Wool Bowl in Roswell.

Goddard will await the winner between Aztec and Piedra Vista.

In Class 5A, Mayfield scorched Rio Rancho 57-16 in Las Cruces.

The Trojans led 40-3 at the half, as they tallied over 500 yards in total offense.

The Trojans have a date with the Cibola Cougars next week. The Cougars beat Eldorado 16-12 as Cibola’s Chase Bennison rushed for 130 yards on 29 carries and a pair of scores.

The Eagles led 16-7 after the first 12 minutes, before Cibola was able to comeback.

Mayfield and Cibola will meet Friday at Milne Stadium in Albuquerque at 7.

In Clovis, the Wildcats held off a game La Cueva team for a 21-17 win.  

The Bears built a 17-0 advantage at the half, only to see the home team ‘Cats score three second half touchdowns, including the game winner by Josh Bryan from signal-caller Jordan Mendoza late in the fourth quarter.
