Goddard High School will be the site of the Goddard High School Holiday Basketball Tournament Thursday-Friday.

Action begins at 1 as 3-5 Carlsbad meets 2-9 Santa Teresa.

That will be followed at 3 by Class 4A Roswell (5-3) taking on Class 3A Dexter (2-2).

The evening session will Brooke Knezevich and the Robertson Lady Cardinals (5-2) taking on Riverside.

The host Lady Rocktes (6-3), led by Marissa Mapp, 14 points per game, will meet Gateway to close out the opening session.

Action resumes Friday a 1 with the Dexter-Roswell losers meeting the Riverside-Robertson loser. The two winners meet Friday at 5.

At 3 on Friday, the Santa Teresa-Carlsbad and Gateway and Goddard losers play a 3, while the winners meet at 7.

The Championship is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m.

At St. Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, The Lady Horsemen Christmas Tournament will be played, also starting Thursday.

Action tips off at 1 as 0-3 Penasco plays 3-3 Cobre.

At 3, action resumes with unbeaten 6-0, Moriarty, playing 5-4 Santa Fe High.

At  6 it will 1-7 Capital taking on 5-1 Thoreau and the nightcap will feature unbeaten, 8-0 St. Mikes, playing 6-4 Santa Rosa.

On Friday consolation and semifinal action begins at 1 as the losers of the Penasco-Cobre and St. Mikes-Snata Rosa games play, while the winners advance to the semifinals at 8,

At 3, the Moriarty-Santa Fe High and Capital-Thoreau losers meet, while the winners advance to the semis at 6.

The Championship is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Saturday.
