Lobo Men's Tennis Sweep Lumberjacks

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico men’s
tennis team finished a match against Northern Arizona that
started on Friday morning with a 7-0 victory on Saturday
night. The Lobos return to .500 for the first time since
their second match of the season by improving to 4-4.
 
The singles portion ended the same way as the doubles,
with New Mexico winning on all courts. Graeme Kassautzki
had a quick match 6-0, 6-0, not allowing Chris Arena to
win a game. Johnny Parkes beat Jeffrey Morys 6-2, 6-1 at
the No. 2 spot to improve to 10-5. Miles Bugby evened his
spring record at 2-2 with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Jake
Tracy.
 
Derek Lynch filled the No. 6 for his first match
of the spring. He beat Brelin Powell 7-6 (7-3), 6-3. Joe
Wood moved up a spot to play No. 5. He even his record at
10-10 with the 6-2, 7-5 victory over Renzo Lau.
 
The Lobos head down Interstate-25 for two matches. First
they will take New Mexico State at 1 p.m. on Feb 22. Then
the Lobos and Texas Tech square off at 1 p.m. on Feb. 23.
