Mesa Vista Looks Strong in 2A Latest NMOTSC Coach's Poll

Mesa Vista leads all 2A teams with nine first place votes, in the first NMOTSC Coach’s Poll of 2008.
The Trojans are rolling through their opponents and are currently 12-0 and one of those wins have come against the defending Class 2A state champs, Mesilla Valley, 69-62, in the Tularosa Basin Tournament.
Mesilla Valley comes in as the second ranked team, with Texico, Dulce and Navajo Pine making a strong showing.
Santa Rosa is starting to get out the basketball bugs from football, as the Lions rolled through the Tri-City Tournament, beating Mora for the title.
