by NMSU Athletics

LAS CRUCES, N.M – New Mexico State volleyball team will host a reception for the 2007 NCAA Volleyball selection show on the third floor of the Stan Fulton Athletics Center at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25.

Fans can join the nationally ranked NMSU volleyball team as everyone awaits to the selection show with appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks being served.  Admission is $20 per person with proceeds to benefit the Aggie volleyball team.

“We have had great support all season long and we would like to have that continued support,” head coach Mike Jordan said.  “We feel we have a good chance to make the tournament and would like our fans to be there if and when that happens.”

If the Aggies are selected to the NCAA tournament, it will be the second-consecutive season they make the post-season tournament and the fourth time in five years as they reached the NCAA tournament in 2003, 2004, and 2006.

NMSU faced Colorado in the first round of the tournament last year, San Diego in 2004 and Brigham Young in 2003, and have yet to make it past round one of the tournament.
