NMHU Gonzales Named RMAC Pitcher of the Week

Las Vegas, NM: Dominique Gonzalez, N.M. Highlands has been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Pitcher of the Week. Gonzales a junior, Right hand pitcher from Pico Rivera, Calif.appeared in three games last week and helped the Cowgirls to their first victory of theseason Feb. 22 against West Texas A&M (6-4). Against the Buff aloes, she allowed four runs (two earned) on nine hits. She added to other wins against Oklahoma
Panhandle State (5-1) and Southwestern Oklahoma State (6-1).
For the week, Gonzalez pitched three complete games and earned three wins while giving up six runs (two earned) on 21 hits. She struck out nine batt ers and walked only one. In the three games, Gonzalez recorded a .667 earned run average.
