Santa Rosa Tops Hope for Tournament Title

Santa Rosa, NM: The Santa Rosa Lions defeated Hope 12-6 in the championship game of the Santa Rosa Baseball Classic. The Lions’ Herman Romero was named the Tournament’s MVP.
The Lions over the three days defeated Pecos and Tucumcari to advance to the championship game.
Hope meanwhile, defeated Tularosa in the opening round and Estancia in the semi-finals.
In other games Saturday in the Santa Rosa Classic:
Third Place: Tucumcari 10. Estancia 3
Fifth Place: Gateway 11, Pecos 1
Seventh Place: Tularosa 19, Mora 4
