State Championship Games Set

The waiting is over and the sites and times have been announced by the New Mexico Activities Association for the final three state football championship games.
On Friday night in
Mayfield has defeated Rio Rancho, 57-16 and
Game time is set for 6:00.
The two teams met back in the opening week as Mayfield beat
In Class 4A, District 4 rivals will hook up as Artesia will be going after their 26th state championship. Game time is set for 1:00 Saturday in the Bulldog Bowl.
Back on November 9, the two teams squared off in a game won by Artesia.
Goddard will be in search of their first state title since 1997, when the Rockets beat
Artesia advances to the championship game with wins over Moriarty, 47-27 and Kirtland, 42-0. Goddard has defeated Capital, 21-6, and Aztec, 21-16.
In Class 3A, St. Mikes and Robertson, District 2 rivals, will play in famed Ivan Head Stadium in
Robertson is the two-time defending state champ and St. Mikes is the 2003 state champ.
