Tyree Bolden Joins Aggie Athletic Department

LAS CRUCES, N.M.-New Mexico State Associate Athletics Director for Student Development James Hall has announced the hiring of Tyree Bolden as an academic advisor, Wednesday, May 7.  Bolden joins the Aggies from Marquette University where he held a similar position. 

At Marquette, Bolden coordinated support services for student-athletes.  He was also a graduate admission counselor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology prior to his time at Marquette.  

Bolden spent one year as a championship administration intern with the Big Ten Conference in 2005.  His responsibilities included assisting with the league’s business administration, compliance, rules officiating programs and community relations.  In addition, he provided support for the championships staff with the daily operations of the 23 sporting events.  Bolden also has experience with the Minnesota Timberwolves as a game operations intern and sales executive. 

Bolden graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a master’s degree in athletic administration.  He was a four-year member of the Golden Gophers men’s basketball team.
