Zias Fall Against Minnesota State-Mankato in Schutt Sports Classic Gold Bracket

PHOENIX, ARIZ. — The Eastern New Mexico University softball team (11-6) dropped a 5-3 decision to Minnesota State-Mankato (4-2) in the gold bracket of the Schutt Sports Division II Lead off Classic in Phoenix, Ariz.
Jessica Pacheco (Avondale, Ariz./Mesa CC/Millennium HS) cracked her first home run of the season, and Kristen Cruickshank (So., Glendale, Ariz./Deer Valley HS) and Anna Hershkowitz (Sr., 1B, Scottsdale, Ariz./Scottsdale CC/Seton Catholic HS) both had a run batted in.
Natalie Woodside (Jr., P, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada/Vernon College/E.D Freehan Catholic HS) suffered the loss on the mound for the Zias, dropping her to 5-3 on the season.
The Eastern New Mexico University softball team will return to action on Friday, February 22, when they open play in the West Texas A&M Lady Buff Classic against Fort Hays State. The first pitch is set for 9:30 a.m. MST
